Sishu Fertility Clinic

Becoming a parent is a cherished dream for many individuals and couples. While many find it an easy journey to conceive, others may face numerous challenges and difficulties. The good news is that modern advancement in fertility treatments has raised hope and possibilities for those who are struggling to conceive. However, it is important to note that numerous factors can influence the odds of conception on the journey to parenthood.

Here, we have some simple tips that can significantly increase your odds of success on the parenthood journey.

Keep the Faith

During your fertility journey, it is important that you maintain a positive mindset and keep the faith through the process. Always remember that it is normal to experience a range of emotions during this period, and keeping faith and hope aids your ability to overcome different challenges.

We encourage you to surround yourself with your loved ones, family, and supportive friends for your emotional well-being during this period. Also, remember that open and honest communication with your partner is crucial as it contributes to strengthening the bond and ensures you both feel supported.

Quit Smoking

Smoking has been linked with decreased fertility in both women and women as it can affect hormone levels. It can lead to lower sperm counts, slow sperm motility, and low testosterone levels. It can also impair the quality of eggs and sperm. So, we encourage cutting on smoke to increase the success rate in the journey of fertility.

Moreover, quitting smoking not only improves your chances of successful conception but also reduces the risks of pregnancy complications. Quitting smoking can help reduce the pregnancy risks such as ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, preterm birth, and developmental issues.

Consider Your Age

Just so you are aware, age is a critical factor when it comes to fertility, particularly for women. It is also important to learn about the relationship between fertility and age on the journey to becoming a parent. Learning the age factor will help to set realistic expectations and make informed decisions on the journey.

So, how does age impact your fertility chances? The reason is the variation in egg quality and quantity in women of different ages. During the time of birth, the number of eggs in a girl is around 2 million. By the time when adolescents reach sexual maturity, the total number of eggs is reduced to 400,000. And as the age grows, the total number drops to 100,000 at the age of thirty. By the time women reach their mid-forties or fifties, the egg supply is typically diminished.

Create a Sex Routine

To increase the chances of success, it is crucial to create a sex routine that aligns with your ovulation cycle. We encourage you to have regular intercourse every other day to ensure that there is a consistent sperm supply, which boosts the chances of fertilization. Note that the eggs typically survive for 1 to 2 days after release, and sperm can survive for three days within the female reproductive system.

Chart Ovulation

Charting your ovulations helps you to understand the menstrual cycle and identify patterns and determine when ovulation occurs. So, monitor the cycle each month for insights into your ovulation timing and find your most fertile days to plan intercourse accordingly. In general, ovulation occurs between day twelve and day sixteen of your cycle.

Fertility Acupuncture

Recently, fertility acupuncture has emerged as a popular complementary therapy for improving fertility and increasing the chances of conceiving. The therapy is carried out to promote reproductive health by improving blood flow to reproductive organs. Additionally, it also helps by regulating hormone levels, reducing stress, and complementing the overall function of the reproductive system. The research indicates that the chances of pregnancy rise by 17 % for women who went through acupuncture therapy compared to others. So, we highly encourage you to consider fertility acupuncture on the journey to parenthood.

Many may not be aware, but it is a fact that high levels of stress can also impact fertility rates. This is because high levels of stress can disrupt hormonal balance, which further affects your reproductive health.

That being said, managing stress can be challenging, especially, when you are dealing with infertility as it involves difficult emotions including anxiety and worries. This may create a vicious cycle that can be challenging to deal with. We encourage you to implement effective strategies to manage stress and promote emotional well-being. Engaging yourself in self-care activities such as yoga and meditation can be helpful. Also, it is ideal to communicate with your family, partners, supportive friends, and therapist to overcome and manage stress.

Have Fun

Amidst the challenges on your fertility journey, it is crucial to maintain a positive outlook. Also, do not stress yourself during intercourse thinking of conceiving. This could make the situation worse only. Just have fun.
